Today was kind of a rough day. I kind of want to go to sleep and forget it ever happened. But then that would be forgetting the good parts as well and I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath-water. But what was nice was after a not-so-great evening, I was able to come home to this... * Note the curtains my mom made me the last time she visited ** Note the foot-rest I'm currently using as a chair for my desk haha This desk was made out of palettes by my friend Curtis. I basically gave him the dimensions I wanted it, asked that it have a cubby area to place my computer accessories and asked that it be the same finish as the coffee table I had him make me earlier this year. And voila! He delivered it late last night and I have been organizing my workspace, its all quite new to me so whenever I come in the room it is like a mini present for me each time. Let's hope tomorrow goes better. Goodnight my beautiful readers.

I tried to post yesterday but due to  the internets being completely stupid  technical difficulties , I was unable to talk to you. I missed you. Anyways,  a couple days ago, which would be Sunday, was a day of sweets and gardening. On the way to church (where I got spiritually-falcon-punched-in-the-adam's-apple as the Farrems and I like to call it) we stopped for donuts. Now we didn't go to DH Co. or anything but it wasn't terrible. Went to church. Following the service we went to Bru's Wiffle , where I proceeded to eat chocolate waffles smothered in maple syrup. Joy and I then said our goodbyes to Farrems as she had to go to work. As we were winding down from a rather busy day, I was thinking of how I could spruce up our front porch area since it looks pretty janky. I was going to post yesterday but since we drove through the night and I didn't get home till 7:30am, yesterday was pretty much as wash. So I thought I would about the last couple days and then blog about today tomorrow. Ca va? Our last day in Tucson we decided to go on a mini hike up the little mountain (I believe it is called Mount Lemon, but I could just be making that up.) We saw the city from that vantage point, we saw succulents, creeks, dung beetles, trees and ants battling it out. Beautiful would be an understatement. We also went out to eat at a local burger place, and had a game night on campus. Today I was on campus promoting the evening service by handing out Otter Pops and flyers. I ate the most amazing fish taco at a local Mexican restaurant with the gang. Taken with my phone...not the best picture but it gives you an idea of what it looked like. We had an outstanding service this evening and followed that up with hangout time in this little square called the University Park. Since I didn't really get a lot of pictures of the promoting and Mexican food eating, I made sure I got some shots of the park at the end. Though most of them were a little too shaky (its dark and I used my knee as a tripod) to share. Tonight was a cooler yet humid evening, which was quite the break from the past couple days where the temperature has been in the triple digits. I went to bed really late last night getting some designs done, so I opted out of doing any post last night since I had to be up early-ish this morning. So in lieu of an actual post I will leave you with this really cool and inspiring video about invisible bike helmets. Last night when we got it in it was pitch black darkness and we weren't really able to see what the layout was around us. So it was quite the shock this morning when I opened the front door to this scene. Today was hot. When I say hot I mean really hot. As in I needed to do several coats of sunblock, I was branded by the seat belt in the car when I got in, it looked like I was in a wet-tee-shirt-contest-gone-wrong and I could have wrung out my tee shirt by the end of the afternoon. You can't really tell but we are melting in this picture. haha Due to the extreme heat they planned our ultimate frisbee game for the evening, after the sun goes down. It just so happened that there was also a wonderful thunderstorm that accompanied the night. It cooled everything down and created mini lakes everywhere. Started our roadtrip off right with donuts from Miss Donuts. Our journey from Los Angeles to Tucson began at 11:30 this morning. There are five of us in total, and we are going to Tucson to help promote Chi Alpha on the campus of A of U for the week. It is quite honestly a very beautiful drive, hot but beautiful. There was no altering to the color of any of these photos. Beautiful. We made a couple stops on the way. One at a gas station that had pretty slim "pickin's" and the other at a rather robust gas station full of attractions. For example the claw game with more incentives than just the usual plush animal. We also stopped for dinner at a place called Long Wong's, where they sell hot-wings and rice dishes. It was a gamble and definitely an experience. This is their awesome table cloth up close. Love it. Today started off with donuts and church. It was a great start and laid the foundation for a nice restful day. I haven't done a cooking blog post for a while. Mainly because I haven't had time to really cook anything lately. But today broke the streak. Farrems and I decided to make a late lunch/ early dinner and we ate it on the roof because the weather was so nice. We bought half the ingredients from the 99cent Only store and Fresh and Easy...we were trying to be as frugal as possible. It tasted wonderful, if I do say so myself. Later we decided later to walk to the Saffron Rose Ice Cream Shop for a dessert, where I ordered my green tea ice cream. On the way, I decided to take pictures of our journey. Tomorrow I take off for Arizona...and I am still on Midwest time. I am fighting off sleep again. So I will talk to you later my loves.

This was my life today: 2:00am- Go to bed 3:30am- Wake up 3:45am- Get up 4:15am- Leave for the airport 5:00am- Stand in never-ending-line 6:15am- Board plane 6:45am- Plane takes off 7:00-7:30am (also gain an hour so that's an hour and a half)- Try to sleep while baby cries in seat behind you 7:30-7:40am- Remember you had ear plugs the whole time 7:40am- Arrive in Salt Lake City 8:10am-Board new plane 8:40am- Take off 8:40-9:45am (gain another hour)- try to sleep while bobbing head and jerking awake every five minutes 9:45-10:00am- Get bags from carousel 10:00- Get picked up 10:05am-1:00pm- Run errands and pick up new computer from Best Buy 1:00pm- Set up new glorious computer 3:00pm-Unpack 4:00pm- First shower of the day ...etcetera. You get the idea Now I am fighting off sleep, I will talk to you later.

Today was a bit of a fiasco...what I thought would be a 20 minute upgrade of my phone at the mall turned into a multiple hour ordeal. Transferring the files and whatnot from my old phone to the new phone took so long that they brought chairs out to me and my mom and sat them in front their televisions and then told us we should take lunch break at the food court. I ended up leaving my phone at the mall while it did its transferring magic while I visited with family members for one last time before I go off to LA early tomorrow morning. Needless to say it has been a pretty nonstop day, though I was able to get a lot of visiting in. I also didn't have my camera or my phone camera for that matter for the majority of my day. I contemplated drawing what I experienced today but I haven't packed yet and I leave for the airport in less than 5 hours and I am supposed to get sleep in there somehow. Today was all business and not too much play, I went computer window shopping and promoting our new biz with my sis-in-law and we had a short lunch break with my momma. It was just an easy going low-key kind of day. I didn't really take any pictures and was wondering what I would talk about on here tonight. I was going to talk about my inner struggle with wanting a chambray shirt but also fearing that I would look like I was wearing a denim suit . So I started looking online to see how I could style the shirt and find a final solution to my inner turmoil. This is what I found and actually like: I definitely think the trick is to match it up with different colored pants or a different shade of denim. I particularly like the grayish one (though mine is more blue). Then I went to Target and actually found a chambray shirt AND it was on sale. So my mom bought me one as a late birthday gift and now I can't wait to try it with all sorts of combinations. I'...

I started my day off with horseback riding at my sister's house. She is renting her home on the cutest most cliche farm I have ever seen in my life. They literally have a red barn and a broken down classic car, seriously can you get more perfect than that? It looked like I was walking on the set of a movie or something, I kept waiting for the facade to give way. Yes, that is a wooden pitchfork resting against the broken down vintage truck. I mean seriously?! They even have an old white dairy stable which they now use for their horses. Following my horseback riding outing, I went to my friends' radio station offices and shared my testimony (my story) on a Spanish Gospel channel, La Hora con Papi. After telling my story on the radio we headed over to their church (for their midweek service) which meets in this really cool old church building. I explored a bit and took my camera with me.
