Today was kind of a rough day. I kind of want to go to sleep and forget it ever happened. But then that would be forgetting the good parts as well and I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath-water. But what was nice was after a not-so-great evening, I was able to come home to this...

This desk was made out of palettes by my friend Curtis. I basically gave him the dimensions I wanted it, asked that it have a cubby area to place my computer accessories and asked that it be the same finish as the coffee table I had him make me earlier this year. And voila!

He delivered it late last night and I have been organizing my workspace, its all quite new to me so whenever I come in the room it is like a mini present for me each time.

Let's hope tomorrow goes better.

That computer is insane! Congratulations on that. I also love your desk, with the little cubby and everything. It seems perfect and it looks really good in that space.

I told you a long time ago that I would take pictures of my house and show you my humble abode but I haven't done so yet because I wanted to have everything in place beforehand. I really do miss you. I have had so much to tell you about but then I let too much time go and then I have been backed up on things to share and don't know where to start. Things like my turtles and their cute pictures, going to the MadMen event at the Kodak theater, going to Las Vegas twice , finding a junk table on the side of the road and refinishing it for my kitchen, being in my sister's wedding and seeing her off to the Marines (oorah!), getting a much unexpected promotion that is daunting and exciting and completely over my head, dressing up for our final banquet, going to Haiti and traveling to new exciting places I've never been to, among so many other things. It's safe to say that I have allowed too much time to pass since my last blog post and for that I apologize. I have spent the last 2 weeks in Haiti, flew to LA and less than 24 hours later flew to Kansas. Needless to say I don't care to see another airplane for quite some time!
