Ushering in the New Year

I have Christmas pictures to share with you. I have to share with you all the fun loot I made out with this year. I want to tell you about being at the OneThing conference last night where I worshipped alongside 17,000 others and listened to Francis Chan speak. I want to discuss with you New Years Goals, and things I learned this past year. I want to share with you a list of books I read this past year or perhaps since 2007, I haven't decided yet.

But as it stands, I am sick and don't feel well at all. I have a headache, my throat is scratchy, my neck is achey, I am all stopped up and I am colder than I should be (so I am assuming a fever is at play). I have felt these symptoms arising for a couple days now. I felt ok for most of the morning, until returning from a quick stop at the store with my mom. I have been eating oranges, cuties, vegetables, drinking herbal teas with honey and lemon and water by the liter, though I have not been able to defeat the sickness that has taken over everyone around me. I tend to be the last person to catch whatever sickness has gone around, which ironically makes others less sympathetic because they have a "been there, done that" kind of mentality.

So instead of sharing any of my past experiences and thoughts or my wishes and dreams regarding this next year. I am going to lie here lifeless for a while and try and fight off what I may so I can be strong and happy as I welcome the new year later tonight. I hope you and your family are well and that this next year brings you the greatest of blessings.

Also this post can serve as a John-the-Baptist-esque-announcement and tell you that another mystery guest post will be coming very soon!

xoxo,
the convalescent

I didn't even see this yesterday! I'm sorry I was texting and emailing and not even wishing you well. I hope you're feeling better.
