My Life:Packed Up

Image
I have come to the conclusion that I must be some sort of a genie or maybe a magician. What other explanation is there to my clown-car house? Though I have been packing for what seems like forever more things continue to turn up. Its like a never ceasing stream of objects. One would think I should be on the show, "Hoarding Alive." Needless to say I am elbows deep in boxes, bags and Goodwill piles. I had hopes that I would move in last week, though as it turns out the bathroom wasn't finished being renovated, so alas I must wait. In addition to move-in limbo I have been preparing for a new school year and all the first week activities. I have been working on a 9 foot entrance to a carnival which will also act as a photo-op area. My biz, Outlook Creative has also picked up speed and I have been working on more info graphics, wedding invites, and banners just to mention a few. I refurbished a chair for the first time ever (which I will share later, when I have a good '...

Unpacking

Image
Since my SD card reader went MIA and I was spending my last days in Kansas visiting family and friends, I fell way behind on my posting. So sorry, my faithful readers. I flew back to LA yesterday and have almost completely unpacked, that includes unpacking the photos from my cameras. Yes, I just said cameras...with an 's'. I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D3100. The most exciting aspect of my new camera, is its video capabilities. Here are some unpacked photos from my Pentax... Autty told me her main job was to keep the humans out of the water because there was no chlorine in the pool, and she had to keep her eye out for a chubby white English bulldog who didn't know how to swim.  In lieu of missing out on SantaCaliGon Da...

Color Run

Image
As I previously mentioned, I ran a 5K the other day. I ran the whole time without stopping, which is an accomplishment for me. And yes, all pictures taken during the race were taken while I was running haha. So don't judge my photo compositions too much. What is a Color Run? Well, since you asked... basically you run a normal 5K, and along the way there are color stations you run through where they cover you with color. If you have ever seen a or been a part of Holi , the holiday that celebrates color in India, you will have a good idea of type of color they use. It's this fine powder colored in bright brilliant colors.  There are 5K Color Run races all over the US and they choose different local charities to support. The charity this last weekend was a rehabilitation center for those who are recovering from physical trauma. Following the race there was a little dance party and color toss.
